Chances are that if you are considering an outdoor wedding in a countryside atmosphere, that you are a
horse-lover deep in your soul. Kristi and Brian Rosser, owners of Buckeye Buddy (a recently retired racehorse), have
been kind enough to offer their services AND their horse to add that special touch to your event.
You'd never
know that Buddy was a very successful guy on the track by his calm, engaging disposition. Kristi and Brian have
been working with Buddy getting him used to the sights and sounds of ruffling gowns, photographers, cars, flowers, ducks,
cats, dogs, plus standing still for all the grooming preparation that goes into getting ready for a wedding. This means
everything from being bathed, shaved, brushed, polished and trimmed, but also he stands still to have his mane and tail
braided...all which takes an unusual amount of patience for a horse!

You can choose one of three choices of Buddy,
Kristi and Brian's involvement in your wedding:
A. Bride's Presentation on Horseback to
the Wedding Ceremony site.
We don't just throw you up in the saddle
and expect you to feel comfortable the first time on your wedding day. Brian or Kristi will have you come out to the
barn 1-2 weeks before your wedding and personally meet Buddy, make friends with him, and spend a little time in the saddle
with Brian or Kristi leading you along the same route that you will take on your wedding day.
Then on your big day, you will make your grand entrance on this big beautiful immaculately groomed Thoroughbred. We
recommend the Father of the Bride lift you down off the horse, and then prepare for your walk down the aisle. (Your
photographer should be ready for some wonderful photo opportunities!) After the Bride is helped down off the horse,
the handler (either Brian or Kristi) will mount Buddy and stand there quietly behind the scenes during the ceremony.
Once the Minister declares that you are Husband and Wife (YEAH!!!!), the horse and rider will head back toward the barn.
........Leading to the final day........
A Fairytale Vision come True......
OK, so maybe you love horses
but scared to ride.... Well, you're not alone! If you fit into this category, option B or C might
be for you.
B. Use Buddy in your engagement or wedding photoshoot session:
Your photographer might study up on some wonderful poses beforehand! Of course, Kristi and/or Brian
will be handling Buddy for you. Use them as is your wish for an hour of unlimited photography. Brian and
Kristi will meticulously groom Buddy just as he would be for the Wedding Presentation. There are TONS of beautiful poses
with horses without being up in the saddle!
Or,
C. 1 hour of "pony rides" for your guests on Buddy.
Not really a "pony" ride, because Buddy isn't any where NEAR pony size, but you get the idea! For any
of your wedding guests that would like a few minutes up in the saddle, to be lead around the nice large field by the pond...this
would be a wonderful departure from the norm, plus an awesome photo op for them! Brian and/or Kristi would be there
to handle Buddy and assist the little ones in mounting.
Of course, this offering is not available in inclement
weather.
