WEDDINGS   - specializing in small to moderate sized events.


Cheval Manor is a great place to have a small to moderate sized event (up to 150 guests) in the suburbs of Murfreesboro.  If you are looking for a peaceful country location for your outdoor wedding, Cheval Manor would like to suggest one of our special locations at the ranch.  We love to have fun, but we strive to preserve the quiet and idyllic atmosphere here at the ranch, so we do not cater to loud, "party-hearty" type groups.   Our events end no later than 10PM, but music is turned down to a "whisper" at 9PM. 


  We have FOUR different wedding package options at the Ranch:

1.  BASIC PACKAGE:  $1750 to rent the facility from sun-up to 10PM, (includes the 1440 s.f. Pavillion, the 800 s.f. Cabana House, the Wedding Field and pond area.

Also includes:

* 3 hours free Karaoke  (but we will be happy to DJ with your CD's or Ipod) 
* Free mounted traffic patrol
* Portable PA system
* Choice of Wedding Backdrop -Garden Arch, Gazebo, Colonnade, or Wedding Canopy (you decorate as you please)
* 12' x 16' Dance Floor (Located in the Pavillion)
* 1 hour free rehearsal time on a different day (Fridays OK based on availability).   Most rehearsals can be completed easily within an hour. (Limited to members of the wedding party, photographers, musicians and minister, please.  When friends, children, aunts, uncles, nieces,  nephews, great grannies, grampas, exes, girlfriends and boyfriends all arrive, what we end up with is total chaos and another full (un-prepared for) event!  Thank you for understanding.

The place is yours from sun-up on your wedding day to 10PM that evening, and till noon the following day (to clean up). 

NOTE:  Cheval Manor does not own banquet tables or banquet chairs.  These must be rented by the client, but they are not expensive to rent.   Please feel free to shop local vendors and compare prices, or check with your church for free use of their tables and chairs.

2.  MINI-WEDDING PACKAGE:  This is a short (1 1/2 to 2 hour duration) all-inclusive, self-directed wedding package for small, intimate groups only (up to 30 people total).  Priced from $890 (for 8) to $1330 (for 30). See details below.

3.  HOURLY RENTAL:  Each of our buildings/locations can be rented for $125 per hour per location.  If you are wanting to have a simple private ceremony with a close group of friends and family, and everyone is pitching in decorations, food, music, tables, chairs, linens, etc., this may be for you!  Time clock starts when you arrive at Cheval Manor, and ends when you leave after cleanup.

4.  CEREMONY ONLY:  Thinking about Eloping?  No reason to go to Pigeon Forge!  There may be times when a brief ceremony is all you want and need.  Perfect for evenings or weekends when the courthouse is closed.  All you need is your Marriage License and $75.  Ceremony may be performed indoors or outdoors as you prefer!


If none of these options fits your needs, just let us know how we can help you!   Want just a quick ceremony and run?  That's OK.  Want an outdoor ceremony and a brief photo shoot?  That's OK, too!  Or maybe it would suit you best to have a simple ceremony (inside or out), a few elegant wedding decorations, plus a little "liquid" refreshment table for your guests, some soft interlude music, and a basic photography package?  We can do that, too.  As little or as much as you desire!  Just jot down what your ideas are and give us a call.  We can custom tailor your wedding day to meet your needs and your pocketbook!

For an intimate indoor (climate controlled) wedding with 30 guests or fewer, our Cabana House and pool area is so delightful. The Cabana House, with 800 s.f. is a large open room with 3 sets of French Doors opening up to poolside for summer entertaining, dancing and even its own piano.  It also has a simple summer kitchen and bathroom facility.

Our 20 x 72 foot covered Pavillion, which doubles as our secondary horse stabling area, is available for your wedding, graduation, or other private gathering!    Within view of the Cottage and the Pond, it also offers a large nearly level area perfect for an outdoor ceremony, nearby parking, with the covered Pavillion serving as your banquet area, band area and seating.  Plenty of electrical outlets, 2 ceiling fans, lighting, plus lights in the cupolas.  Low pile commercial carpet is laid out over the ground in the Pavillion for events.

Other optional services we can provide, if you desire: Decorating services, tablecloth rental, memorable pony rides on one of our immaculately groomed, well behaved horses,  feeding the fish, bonfire set up next to the pond, complete with S'mores as a sweet finale of the evenings festivities.  Call or email for pricing for optional services.

We'd love to help create a "MINI-WEDDING" for you!   For as low as $890 (for up to 8 people) to $1330 (30 people), here is what we will provide:

The use of any and all of our decorations, tables, chairs, linens, flatware, table runners, centerpieces, garden arch, tiki torches, draping material, floral arrangements, pew bows, tulle, ribbons, garland, candles, organza favor bags, and our live ferns/palm trees (if in season), etc.  Decorating advice/recommendations are FREE.  Why buy all these items new for HUNDREDS of dollars, only to have to pack them up or sell them on Craigslist for pennies on the dollar?  ($250-$400 value)

G. PLUS a simple but intimate "Reception Tea" in the Cabana House poolside, with your choice of a "Savory" Deli Tray or "Sweet" Dessert Tray, plus Coffee and Tea. ($150 Value for 30)

J. Clean up and break down (meaning you can leave the mess for us to clean up!) ($300 Value)

You may design the wedding of your dreams, whether it is a secular or religious ceremony, formal or casual, traditional or break-out-of-the-mold-unique....the choice is yours! 



(ESTIMATED DURATION - 11/2 - 2 Hours - not including decorating time.)   We can accommodate up to 30 guests, rain or shine, in your Mini-Wedding for $1330. Call for custom quote for less than 30 but more than 8 attending.  

Imagine ----- a complete, lovely and intimate wedding for the cost of JUST many wedding gowns alone! This is a chance for you to design your own wedding (using all our supplies) and not have to worry about the multitude of costs involved (food, flowers, favors, decorations, arch, music, tables, chairs, tableware, wedding officiant, etc.).  Be your own wedding coordinator, or have a friend help you.   As they say, "Have it YOUR way!"

Whatever your dream, we will try to make it happen for you.  While we can't promise you the moon, but we DO have lots of imagination, decorating supplies, resources, and even a little talent in making "something" out of nothing!  We can help make it a day to remember!





We can also accept monthly payments on this plan so your wedding will be completely paid for on your wedding day!   Now how many couples can do that?!   For as little as $111 per month for 8 months, you can have your Mini-wedding for 8 paid IN FULL by your wedding date!   What an accomplishment to have a "debt-free" wedding!!!  Dave Ramsey would be proud of you!

HOURLY RENTALS    
Or if you have a modest group of 8-30 guests, you may want to consider renting our Cabana House by the hour.  Why pay for all day if all you need is 2 or 3 hours time?  Our hourly rental for the Cabana House with attached arbor, for example, is only $125.00 per hour.  2 or 3 hours would give you plenty of time for a beautiful ceremony, a small banquet and intimate, elegant reception-- rain or shine.  This is the PERFECT solution for those of us struggling financially these days.  All other details (decorations, food, table/chair/linen rental, wedding officiant, photographer, music, etc.),  provided by customer.

  • BIRTHDAY IDEAS

Although we do not host large Birthday Parties for groups of over 8 children, we will be happy to tailor a low-key Birthday get-together for your son or daughter and their well-behaved friends! 

Picture a surprise Birthday visit (bringing your child blindfolded to the barn) and the wide-eyed look of wonderment when, at the moment of opening their eyes, having a beautiful, loving horse standing right in front of them, ready to be loved, hugged and ridden!  A one-of-a-kind Birthday gift, for sure! 

Prices for a basic 2 hour Birthday party, which is all-inclusive: starting with custom invitations, party favors, goodie bags for guests, horse time with photo ops, your choice of different activities: barn games, swimming (weather permitting and with parental approval), feeding the fish, nature hike, scavenger hunt and cake/gift time (parent provides cake) and all cleanup for up to 8 children is $250.00.

  • Individual Horse Encounters

Simply want a private, deeply moving experience for your child and a sweet, gentle horse or pony?   We have several young folks here that love children and love sharing their horses with children.  Your child will get personalized, one on one attention with either Nathan, Chastity or Courtney as they start out by being introduced to the horse, petting their soft muzzle, looking deeply into their kind eyes, hopefully forming a "connection"!  Then,  a session of brushing, grooming and getting to feel comfortable around such a large, beautiful animal.  Next, your child will help the handler actually put the pad and saddle on and adjust the fit while learning some amazing facts about these amazing creatures!  Then, of course, your child will probably be ready to be lifted up into the saddle to experience the exhiliration of actually riding for their first time.  Get that camera ready!  What better birthday or any-time gift could you give an animal loving child?  Nothing in the world like a horse....!


Our charges are per horse/handler:  $25.00 for 1/2 hour and $40.00 for a full hour.    Prepayment is required at least 1 week in advance to secure your horse(s) and arena time.  We accept cash, local personal checks and Paypal.  Dates can be modified in case of conflict or inclimate weather. Email for more information.

  •  ARENA RENTAL

Our 60' x 120' indoor riding arena with 14' ceiling heights and soft footing can be rented (on space available basis) for $30.00 per hour (weekend and evening  rate), $20.00 per hour (weekday rate).  Maximum four horses at a time, please.  All visiting horses need to provide current Coggins. 

This is a perfect remedy for the mid-winter blues, or continuing your lesson schedule through the winter!
